Frequently Asked Questions – Sampan, Jaldapara

  1. Where is Sampan located? How far is it from Jaldapara National Park?
    Sampan is situated on the Salkumar side of Jaldapara National Park (Jaldapara South), about 500 meters from the Jaldapara gate and adjacent to the forest.
  2. How many rooms does the resort have?
    We are a boutique property with only four well-appointed rooms — two on the ground floor with balconies and two on the first floor without balconies.
  3. What is included in the tariff?
    The tariff includes accommodation on a double-occupancy basis, all meals (welcome drink, lunch, evening snacks, dinner, and breakfast the next day), and applicable taxes.
  4. Do you serve vegetarian food?
    Yes, vegetarian food is available on prior request. Please notify us at the time of booking or at least 24 hours before your stay.
  5. Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?
    We try our best to cater to special requests if informed at least 24 hours in advance. Options may be limited due to our rural setting.
  6. What are the safari options in Jaldapara? Can you help with bookings?
    Guests can enjoy jeep safaris and elephant safaris in Jaldapara South. Safari bookings are managed by the Forest Department, and we can guide you on the process.
  7. Is Wi-Fi available at the resort?
    Yes, basic Wi-Fi is available in common areas. Wifi is free of charge.
  8. Is car parking available?
    Yes, car parking is free for guests staying at the resort.
  9. Do you provide driver accommodation?
    Yes, we have a dormitory facility for drivers along with meals, available at a nominal charge.
  10. Can I bring my pet along?
    Pets are welcome at Sampan with prior intimation. A small pet allowance charge applies.
  11. Do you provide pick-up and drop-off services?
    Yes, transfers can be arranged from nearby bus stops, railway stations, and airports at additional cost. The tariff for the same can be found in our Tariff page.
  12. What is your child policy?
    Children below 5 years stay free (food on actuals). Children aged 5–10 years are charged at a special rate.
  13. What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations made more than 15 days before check-in are fully refundable, a partial refund applies for 8–14 days, and no refund for less than 7 days. This cancellation policy does not apply in case of special high season days such as Durga Puja, Christmas, etc. Please contact our sales team for the latest and updated cancellation policy.
